Jarren Santos ’17 majored in General Science-Biology with a concentration in Statistics. He was a part of the inaugural cohort of students to enroll in the Master of Public Health Cooperative Degree Program, where he completed his undergraduate degree and Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) in five years. His graduate training was completed at the University of Iowa College of Public Health in the Department of Biostatistics. His research interests include the application of computational and statistical methods in the biological sciences and public health. He is also interested in how to best communicate and present data to audiences of all levels. While serving as Data Scientist for the Data Analysis and Social Inquiry Lab (DASIL), he plays an integral role in facilitating academic and research support for students, faculty, and staff.
