Jennifer Wohlenhaus

Jennifer Wohlenhaus is the Principal Oboist of the Des Moines Symphony.  She recently completed her Doctor of Music Arts degree at the University of Iowa and holds a Master of Music degree in Oboe Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Applied Music-oboe from Drake University.  Her major teachers have included John de Lancie and Jay Light.  Ms. Wohlenhaus is the oboist in the Polaris Wind Quintet and performs frequently as a freelance oboist in the Des Moines area.  In addition to performing, she is a Teaching Associate at Drake University and an Applied Music Associate at Grinnell College.
