Russian, Central European, and Eurasian Studies

Hone your focus through humanistic and social scientific study.

You’re intrigued by a region that spans two continents and contains a multitude of interconnected languages and peoples. You’re interested in the histories, the languages, the cultures, and the political processes and want to study the region through an interdisciplinary lens. You also want to develop proficiency in German, Russian, or another regional language and may study off campus for a semester or a summer. You’ll choose your own path through the concentration, building a distinct set of skills that you’ll apply to a capstone research project. As a result, you’ll develop distinctive knowledge of the forces that are shaping life and events in Russia, Central Europe, and Eurasia that will make you more confident, flexible, and culturally aware in your future educational and career pursuits.
