Jennifer McAlexander grew up in Grinnell and currently calls it home as well. She graduated from Grinnell High School and attended Marshalltown Community College. Jennifer is a mother to three children, and spends most of her free time attending their many activities and sporting events. If she is home alone, Jennifer enjoys cleaning and organizing. She also enjoys traveling with her husband and her family hosts students through Grinnell College’s Friends of International Students (F.I.S.) Program. Jennifer and her family hope to visit the home countries of each of their host students one day.
The best part about Grinnell College for Jennifer is that she works with and serves people from all around the world.
Jennifer’s main areas of responsibility involve the College’s compliance to the Clery Act, which involves crimes reported to the institution and the publication of the crime statistics for the benefit of the public and campus community. Jennifer is a member of the Campus Safety Department.
The department of Campus Safety, 641-269-4600, plans and implements safety and security operations and programs and initiatives in support of the College’s mission and vision. Located on the corner of East Street and 10th Avenue, Campus Safety is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even when school is not in session.
