Commencement 2013

Commencement: 10 a.m., Monday, May 20

Four years, dozens of classes, and hundreds of memorable moments after arriving on campus, Grinnell's class of 2013 will cross the stage for their diplomas at 10 a.m. Monday, May 20.

Poet Sarah Kay will deliver the Commencement address. She will receive an honorary degree, as will Nathaniel Borenstein ’80, one of the original designers of the MIME protocol for formatting multimedia e-mails; Bonnie Tinker ’69, a longtime peace and equal rights activist (posthumous award); and — expanding on an earlier tradition recognizing educators — David Abarr ’83.
