Celebrate Founders’ Day – June 10, 1846!

On June 10, 1846, James J. Hill laid a single silver dollar on a table in Davenport, Iowa, and in doing so laid the foundation for Iowa College. He did not know that Iowa College would move to Grinnell in 1859, but the Grinnell pioneer spirit was present that June day, when Hill and the rest of the Iowa Band founded a college based on social justice and intellectual curiosity. Since then, generations of graduates have carried that spirit all over the world.

In honor of Founders' Day, we want you to celebrate with our Facebook photo contest. Students, alumni, faculty, staff, family and friends – we're talking to you!

The rules are simple:
• Take a photo with your favorite Grinnell gear (T-shirts, hats, jerseys, water bottles, you name it!)...
