A Grinnell student in Burling Library

Quotable Grinnell

"Feeling so comfortable, even as a prospective student, was utterly amazing."

Get to Know Grinnell

Campus visits are one of the best ways to decide whether Grinnell is a good fit for you. Descriptions, photos, chats, interviews, brochures—these are all great resources. But you can't beat walking around campus or sitting in on a class. A visit gives you the opportunity to do more than glance through images or hear secondhand about Grinnell's excellence. You can feel what it's like to be a Grinnellian.

The decisions you will make in the upcoming months are critical. We invite you to form your own opinion, through the experience of living and learning here for a day. It might be formative to your future!

Don't be shy—"prospies" are a perennial favorite on Grinnell's campus. You'll have an enthusiastic host, should you choose to stay in the residence halls. Classmates and professors alike will be interested in what you have to say. You can also get to know other prospective Grinnell students, who may be your future classmates.

All interested students should schedule a visit with the Office of Admission at least 10 days before their arrival.

The Value of a Campus Visit

Although you can get a sense of the place by viewing a website, photo, or brochure, there is no substitute for visiting campus in person.

By Scheduling a Visit, you will have the opportunity to:

Tour the Campus
Attend an Information Session
Have an Admission Interview
Eat in the Dining Hall
Sit in on a Real Class
Shop in the Campus Bookstore
