students do field work for their MAP at CERA

Environmental Studies

A concentration for a career that matters.

Through multi-disciplinary programs committed to evidence gathering and critical thinking, you’ll explore the many issues posed by the relationship between humans and our natural environment. You’ll put classroom knowledge to work through international study programs and at the Conard Environmental Research Area, a 365-acre facility with prairie grassland, forest, a lake, half-mile of river, and a permanent field laboratory. The insights gained will prepare you for graduate school or a career with environmental, political, and research organizations and private-sector companies.
