Russian, Central, and East European Studies Concentration

RCEES concentrators study the culture, history, and politics of Russia, the former USSR, and the nations of Central and Eastern Europe. RCEES students take classes in several fields (including literature, history, political science, and economics), complete a capstone project on a topic of their choice, and often study abroad. They also participate in a variety of activities sponsored by the Russian Department and other groups, preparing them for careers in education, academia, international business, and law.
