Safety

A campus where you can feel welcome, respected, and secure.

You’re here to learn and grow. It’s our job to provide you with the environment, support, and resources so that this can happen. At Grinnell, you’re surrounded by people who not only inspire your studies, but who also care deeply about your well-being. In fact, our community prides itself on the safe, welcoming campus we all call home.

We’re here all day, all night, and all year.

Our officers at the Department of Safety patrol the Grinnell campus around the clock to ensure your safety. They coordinate closely with local police, fire, and medical services with ongoing drills, open communication, and regular contact — working to handle emergencies correctly and quickly, and to prevent them whenever they can.
