2023 Graduates Join Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa

The Phi Beta Kappa Society, the most prestigious academic membership society for undergraduate students in the United States, has extended invitations to 39 third- and fourth-year Grinnell College students to become members of the esteemed local chapter, Beta Chapter of Iowa. All of the invited students have graciously accepted this opportunity and will participate in the initiation ceremony during commencement weekend.

Beta Chapter of Iowa at Grinnell College was chartered in 1907, the 70th chapter in the nation and second in Iowa. The organization contributes to the intellectual life of the college by recognizing exceptional student achievement through annual election of new student members, sponsorship of two awards, and by hosting an annual Convocation by a Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar or other distinguished guest.
