Damani Phillips will discuss the influence of African American music on the Civil Rights movement in a talk at 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2018 in Joe Rosenfield ’25 Center, Room 101.

In this celebration of Black history, Phillips and his combo will use musical performances to illustrate the topic.

Phillips visit is sponsored by Grinnell College's Office of Intercultural Affairs, the Center for Humanities, the Departments of Music and History.
