Santiago Giralt
Santiago Giralt, an Argentinian playwright, screenwriter, filmmaker, and novelist, will offer a free, public presentation at 4 p.m. Wed., Sept. 27, 2017, in Bucksbaum Center for the Arts, Room 152.

In 2017, he was awarded the National Arts Fund Bi-Centennial Grant in Literature. His first novel, Nelly R, the General’s Lover, was shortlisted for the 2008 Planeta International Prize. His novel La mala memoria came out in 2015, and his latest novel, Disparo, is forthcoming. He has written and directed over a dozen films, and has participated in many international film festivals.

He participates courtesy of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State., and his visit to campus is sponsored by the Department of Spanish.
