At 4:15 p.m. on Jan. 30 in the Burling Library Lounge, please join the Office of Corporate, Foundation, and Government Relations and the Grinnell College Libraries for the first Faculty/Staff Research Talk of 2024!

During this event, four of the College’s new faculty members will give brief overviews of their research areas. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about our new colleagues’ interests and expertise, with the goal of opening the doors for community and collaboration.

We will welcome the following presenters:
  • Idelle Cooper ’01 (Biology): “Jewelwing Damselfly Mating Behavior and Speciation”
  • Jenny Kenkel (Mathematics): “Commutative Algebra: An Abstraction of Whole Numbers”
  • Collin Nolte (Statistics): “What You See Is What You Get: A Closer Look at Bias in the Visual World Paradigm”
  • Gina Schlesselman-Tarango (Science Library): “Reproductive Labor and Information Work”

Refreshments will be served.
