Leuven - Program in European Culture and Society
- Primarily for philosophy students or those who wish to work on advanced projects in the social sciences, the Program in European Culture and Society operates in cooperation with the Institute of Philosophy at the Katholieke Universiteit in Leuven, the largest university in Belgium.

- The IES Vienna Program is especially recommended for music performance majors and talented instrumentalists and vocalists who have taken at least two semesters of college-level German.

Whatever your interests, you can deepen and expand your education by studying in a variety of countries, including our program in England, Grinnell-in-London, or U.S. locations, such as Grinnell-in-Washington. Grinnell pre-approves off-campus courses as general credit or to count toward your major or concentration. When selecting a program, faculty advisers, and OCS staff will help you to select a program matched to your academic goals.
During the first-day orientation for Grinnell-in-London (GIL), one of the College’s oldest off-campus study programs, we received an exciting list of fieldtrips. In addition to GIL’s fabulous main dish of courses and internships, fieldtrips are the delicious dessert. Designed as essential parts of all GIL classes, fieldtrips add first-hand learning experience and broaden our views of England and Europe.
