INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPORTING GRADES
Submitting grades: All instructors are expected to submit their grades on-line via Pioneer Web. Go to the "Course Areas & Academic Info" tab of Pioneer Web (available via the Grinnell's home page), login to the WebAdvisor Self-Service Portal, and click on "Enter or Review Final Course Grades" which is located under Faculty Information. Call the Registrar's Office if you have any questions or problems (x3450). Spring 2014 grades are due to the Registrar by noon on Tuesday, May 27, 2014.
Fall 2013 Short Courses
Below is a list of 1/2 semester and short course offerings for Fall 2013, as well as the applicable deadlines for each course. Registration change forms are due in the Registrar's Office by 5:00 p.m. of the deadline day. Full course descriptions for these courses are available via Pioneer Web's online Schedule Search.
Official Transcripts are ordered online through the National Student Clearinghouse, processed on site at Grinnell College and sent via the United States Postal Service or overnighted by FED-EX. We do not provide electronic Official Transcripts.
2013-14 First Semester Examination Schedule
The Committee on Academic Standing has issued the following final examination schedule for the first semester. College policy stipulates that neither students nor faculty members may make changes in the published examination schedule without prior approval of the Registrar. Conflicts caused by the schedule should be resolved by discussion with the appropriate instructor.
What is FERPA?
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) helps protect the privacy of student education records. The Act provides for the right to inspect and review education records, the right to seek to amend those records and to limit disclosure of information from the records. The intent of the legislation is to protect the rights of students and to ensure the privacy and accuracy of education records.
Student Self Serve Enrollment Verify
Students are encouraged to obtain enrollment verification certifications via the National Student Clearinghouse. This secure web site is available 24 hours per day and can be accessed via the services tab (academic information and financial aid boxes) at pioneerweb.grinnell.edu (aka Blackboard) The following services are free to all enrolled students, and may be used as often as necessary.
2014-15 Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate Policy
This chart lists the credit and course equivalency awarded for Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) exams taken prior to matriculation at Grinnell College. Conditions:
