On Thursday, April 28, the Ladies Education Society (LES) held a Spring Tea to honor Grinnell College seniors with scholarships.

Featuring guest artist Michela Marino Lerman and all-original student music by the Grinnell Jazz Ensemble, Digital Music Making, and Tap is Music, under the direction of Visiting Professor, Daniel Oore.

Hull is currently a second-year student at Grinnell College, majoring in biological chemistry with hopes of attending medical school post-Grinnell. Hull grew up in Grinnell, Iowa, and began playing and growing in the game of baseball at the young age of 3. From the start, he was passionate about the game and knew that he wanted to play at the collegiate level. His early experiences with baseball are something Hull cherishes and has held onto over the years.

Art students receive more than $3,000 in prizes at BAX opening reception

An exhibit celebrating the 175th anniversary of Grinnell College is now on display in the lower level of Burling Library. Student workers in Special Collections and Archives curated the exhibit, which spans seven display cases and includes documents and artifacts from the College’s history.

Coming from Syracuse University, de Graffenreid will begin work at Grinnell in June. De Graffenreid comes to Grinnell with more than 20 years of experience leading marketing and communications programs for higher education and academic medicine; she has also led award-winning integrated marketing communications programs that built national and international recognition for the institutions she served.

Writers@Grinnell wraps up the season with award-winning authors, Claire Lombardo and Rachel Yoder on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 4:15 p.m. in the Grinnell Museum of Art. The award winners for the spring writing contests will also be announced at the end of this event.
