Joe Webster

Joe is a mathematician specializing in p-adic numbers, combinatorics, and mathematical physics, though he is generally interested in finding connections between these subjects and other areas of mathematics. He is currently working on asymptotic problems involving homogeneous spaces, gauge theories, and the two-dimensional matrix-tree theorem.

Joe enjoys teaching many different mathematics courses (with a particular love for analysis) and has mentored undergraduates through explorations of number theory, generating functions, Fourier transforms, and complex analysis.

Joe is teaching one section of Functions and Differential Calculus (MAT 123) and two sections of Calculus II (MAT 133) this Fall. He will be teaching one section of Functions and Integral Calculus (MAT 124) and one section of Foundations of Analysis (MAT 316) in the Spring.
