Rachel Bly
Assistant Vice President for Auxiliary Services
Rachel Bly ’93 (she/her/hers) is the Assistant Vice President of Auxiliary Services and has served in the role since 2023. She served as Director of Conference Operations and Events (COE) for 17 years prior to this transition. Auxiliary Services coordinates and supports the activities of the College’s dining and catering services, mail services, the Pioneer Bookshop, conference operations and events and the Grinnell College Golf Course. Rachel is thrilled to work with such a great group of seasoned department heads as we serve the campus community in a variety of ways. She especially enjoys the relationship building across campus, the opportunities to work on a variety of projects and programs, and the fact that her days are never dull!
Early in her career, Rachel served in the Grinnell College Office of Development and Alumni Relations in a variety of roles, and worked doing issue advocacy for a national nonprofit in DC for a few years.
When not on campus you can find Rachel serving on the Grinnell City Council, active in Poweshiek County politics, and serving and volunteering for a number of Grinnell organizations and groups. She can also be found biking around town, spending time trying out new creative outlets, and traveling to complete a sprint triathlon in every state in the US.
