Monica Chavez-Silva leads Community Partnerships, Planning, and Research's strategic and operational activities. This includes assessing campus and community needs, collaborating with college and community leadership, overseeing local grant-making activities, stewarding outreach programming, and driving collective impact initiatives to enhance the social and economic vitality in Grinnell. She currently serves on the board of the Greater Poweshiek Community Foundation, on the Advisory Council for the Anchor Institution Taskforce, as a Commissioner for the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service, and on HUD’s Higher-Ed Engagement Think Tank. Prior to Grinnell College, Monica served as consumer research specialist and brand strategist at Leo Burnett Chicago and Santiago, Chile.
