Technology Studies Concentration

Interim Director, Donald L. Wilson Program in Enterprise and Leadership

Technology studies explore what makes tech tick! You examine technology’s role in society via courses in humanities, science, and social studies, plus technology-specific classes on topics such as digital media, biotechnology, or geographic information systems.  You will also do an internship, a seminar or independent study, and a senior presentation.  You will develop informed perspectives on technology in the workplace and beyond, supporting informed citizenship and careers in a wide variety of areas, including policy and entrepreneurship.

Students approach technology design with eye to human rights and dignity.

Artist, researcher, and writer Sara Hendren discusses “Waking the Machines: Art, Design, and Adaptive Technology.”
