President Kington to Present Scholars' Convocation

Oct 26, 2016

President Raynard S. Kington will give the Scholars' Convocation at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3. His lecture, which is free and open to the public, will take place in Joe Rosenfield ’25 Center, Room 101.

Kington will talk about the growth in patterns of inequality in the United States, and then lead a discussion about how Grinnell College might respond over time to these increases in inequality.

For nearly four decades, the Scholars’ Convocation series has created a common educational experience shared by the entire Grinnell College community. Established in the late 1970s in response to the College’s move to an open curriculum, the accessible interdisciplinary nature of convocation offers an intellectual encounter that transcends disciplinary boundaries.

Grinnell College welcomes the participation of people with disabilities. Accommodation requests may be made to Conference Operations, 641-269-3235.

Minors under age 18 need to be accompanied by an adult. Grinnell College is not responsible for supervision of minors on campus.
