Take a Live Virtual Tour of Campus

You may not be able to see campus in person right now, but our current students are excited to show you around in a different way. Through this live virtual tour, students will guide you through the campus tour they would normally give, with the stories they love to tell, all from the comfort of your home. Tours are available throughout the fall and run for approximately 45 minutes. Register here.

Want to explore our campus on your own first? Check out our YouVisit virtual tour of campus instead.

Online Interviews

Optional, but highly recommended! Online interviews are a great way to share more about yourself, and can take place over FaceTime, Google Duo, Skype, Zoom, or the phone. After you request an online interview, a senior interviewer or admission counselor will contact you within 5 business days to schedule a mutually convenient day and time. Please note that you may only interview once, and interviews are available beginning in April of your junior year through January of your senior year.

Get to Know our Admission Interns

One of the best ways to get to know Grinnell is to meet current students. We believe our admission interns are a great sampling of the students who choose to attend Grinnell; see who they are, where they come from, and some of the things they’ve done while at Grinnell. And if you have any questions for them, feel free to contact them.

    Programs and Events

In the fall semester, we have two Discover Grinnell weekend programs in addition to a Fall Preview Day. In February, we offer a Junior Visit Day for high school juniors who are beginning the college search process. In March and April we welcome our admitted students to campus for special admitted student weekend events.

    Interviews

Beginning in April of your junior year, you can interview with one of our admission representatives online, on campus, or in an area near you. An interview isn’t required for admission (and you may only interview once), but it’s a great chance for our staff to get to know you more and find out if Grinnell is a good fit for you.

Request a Virtual Visit from Grinnell

High school and community-based organization advisers/counselors are welcome to request a virtual presentation from the Office of Admission on a variety of topics ranging from a general overview of Grinnell to specifics on applying to a selective liberal arts college, the college essay, and college fit and financial aid. Our visits typically last 30-45 minutes and take place over Zoom.

What Can You Do During Your Visit?

During your visit, our admission counselors will hold an info session that covers a lot of ground: our academic programs, career development services, internship and research opportunities, admission requirements, and need- and merit-based financial aid opportunities. After your session, you’ll take a student-led campus tour that explores our academic buildings, residence halls, athletic facilities, dining hall, and more.
