    A gift from the late Jack Hanson '39 and Lucile Hanson '40 Harris has endowed annual competitive fellowships for early career faculty members at Grinnell. The fellowships provide awardees with a leave at full salary for one academic year and up to $8,000 in research/travel funds.

    The funding will help GEP broaden their focus from exclusively youth-based projects to economic empowerment interventions aimed at the whole family. The mission is to support youth and families in Grinnell by aligning community efforts and infusing support for early literacy enrichment activities, equity and inclusion, family engagement, workforce development and financial literacy to interrupt intergenerational poverty.

    The Norris Hall renovation project was a collaboration between Grinnell College, the Weitz Company, CPMI, and OPN Architects. Among the many alterations to Norris included the addition of new windows, a newly designed kitchen and lounge spaces. As well as new ADA rooms and adding an elevator to make the building accessible for all.
