Family Weekend

Dear Grinnell families and guests,

I write today with an update on Family Weekend, planned for Sept. 24-26.

Predictive modeling suggests that the delta surge in our area will be at a time of escalation in the last weeks of September. In consultation with our team of medical experts we have, regrettably, decided to postpone the formal programming that would have gathered large numbers of people for this fall’s family weekend to a weekend in the spring, details forthcoming.

While no formal family weekend events will take place this fall, families and guests are still welcome to visit Grinnell and attend any of the events already scheduled (see below). Please note that indoor events are limited to 40 people and that wearing a mask indoors is required. We will be unable to invite parents into the classrooms at this time. Outdoor events do not have a limit on number of attendees and do not require a mask.

We mourn that we will not be able to host you for a formal family weekend this fall but we look forward, with eager anticipation, to the opportunity to do so in the spring. Thank you!

Kind regards,

Sarah Moschenross
