Grinnell advanced in several areas in the 2025–26 U.S. News & World Report rankings of National Liberal Arts Colleges.  

Sophie Noyes ’24 looked forward to a college community. From being theatre’s frequent flyer to their passion for mental health and therapy to studying in Spain, they created one with people they absolutely adore.

Grinnell College is piloting a new student success program called RSVP (Retention Student Success Validation and Progression). At the heart of RSVP is a team of “hosts” who are poised to connect with new students and help them feel comfortable getting involved in campus life.

As summer draws to a close, anticipation builds for the arrival of the Class of 2029 and the start of another year of discovery and connection. Grinnell College opens its doors to the Class of 2029 — 421 students whose stories, talents, and ambitions will shape our community in the years ahead.

Grinnell College has been awarded a $150,000 grant from the William Randolph Hearst Foundations to expand its efforts in recruiting and supporting transfer students from both two- and four-year institutions.

David Hudson ’23 is from a small, public urban high school in Brooklyn, New York. He knew instantly that Grinnell was his dream school when he visited as a middle schooler!
