At Grinnell, Spencer Clark ’23 found a group of incredible people waiting for him. With them, he swam competitively, studied abroad in London, and explored his passions.

Sophia Carroll ’25 was enamored with Grinnell's off-campus study options, competitive swim program, and environment. She was able to be herself at Grinnell.

Kalea Martin ’25 craved individualized attention, flexibility, and community. Through the tennis team, graduate-level research, and off-campus study in France, she found all that and more!

Nicole Mendez Subieta '21, an economics and sociology major from Bolivia, found lifelong friends, hosted a radio show, and explored the Western U.S. with the Extreme Club. She also pursued her passion for global development through an internship in Ghana and studied abroad in four European countries!

Ailsa Schmidt ’22 came to Grinnell for the rural setting and the opportunity to run cross country. A few years later, she is loving building, supporting, and being a part of student communities, as well as asking questions about religion in and out of the classroom. She looks forward to connecting with people through a service program next year.

Elisabeth Kille ’23 crafted global educational experiences to work in, learn from, and explore different cultures using her Grinnell experiences. She worked an internship for Chile, went abroad to Greece, and made amazing Grinnellian friends along the way!

Evan Hurst ’21 studied local LGBTQ+ history, interned at a Seattle filmmakers’ collective, explored the prairies of Iowa, and discovered that they are, in fact, a cat person.

Elizabeth Collinger ’21 explored her passion for music, language, synchronized swimming, and more during her journey that took her all around the midwestern United States and down through South America.

Conner Stanfield ’21 sang a cappella at his professor’s wedding, conducted research (and performed!) with a professional theatre company in Taiwan, and explored the United Kingdom during an off-campus semester based in London.
