Welcome to the Grinnell College family!

We recognize that while your student is preparing for the transition to college, you’re preparing for a significant transition as well.

This website full of information and tasks that your student will need to complete over the coming months. We encourage you to discuss the information in this with your student.

You may be experiencing a wide range of emotions as you reflect on what it will be like once your child has started their college experience. Participating in New Student Orientation (NSO) will play an important role in introducing the new student to the Grinnell community and the college experience.

We encourage you to join us for the first couple days of New Student Orientation. We have a variety of sessions planned just for family members. Check out the tentative schedule online to learn more about what will be offered on Friday and Saturday.

Below are additional resources you may find helpful while preparing for your student’s success.

Be up-to-date with arrival, move-in, and new student orientation.

Download the Grinnell College Events app (Google Play, Android Apps, App Store) to check out the most up-to-date student schedule. The NSO Schedule will be published through the app in May.
