Campus Safety and Security and law enforcement, fire, and medical officials will take part in a drill involving an "active shooter" from 8 a.m.-noon June 17 and June 24 at Rathje Residence Hall.

Police will fire simulated rounds, causing loud noise. Participants will wear orange vests and masks.

The drill will feature ALICE, which stands for alert, lockdown, inform, counter, and evacuate. The technique emphasizes how to confront a shooter, instead of hiding and waiting for law enforcement.
