Graduating seniors in Gender, Women's and Sexuality Studies will debate the 'Sex Wars' of the 1980s on Friday, March 3, 2017.

The debate, which is free and open to the public, will start at 4 p.m. in the Faulconer Gallery in the Bucksbaum Center for the Arts, 1108 Park St., Grinnell.

The seniors will reenact the central tensions of the feminist sex wars of the 1980s. One section of the class with argue for feminist censorship of pornography and another will argue against censorship. For accuracy and drama, another section of the class will protest the debate itself.

The debate is part of the Gender, Women's and Sexuality Studies capstone senior seminar course "Bad Feminists, Bad Critics," taught by Leah Allen, visiting assistant professor.
