College Mourns Loss of Beloved Biology Professor

Professor of Biology Jonathan "Jackie" Brown tragically passed away following a car accident on Thursday, July 25, 2019 while he was in Hawaii conducting research in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Jackie was a beloved and respected teacher, mentor, friend, and colleague on our campus.

Jackie's passing is a loss for all Grinnellians, and we send our deepest sympathy to Jackie's wife, Rebecca, and their children, Amelia and Adam, and to all their family members and friends.
