The Cyclone of 1882: Destruction and Rebirth in Grinnell, Iowa
It is not an exaggeration to say that the Cyclone of 1882 is one of the defining moments in the history of Grinnell College. That event and the rebuilding process changed the face of the campus in ways that are still seen today. This exhibit explores campus as it was before the cyclone, the damage caused to campus and the town of Grinnell, and the rebuilding process.
