Diverse Paths of Leadership and Innovation: Tim Renken '86
Tim Renken '86 will be the featured speaker in the Diverse Paths of Leadership and Innovation speaker series on Friday, April 20. The event, which is free and open to the public, will start at 2 p.m. in Noyce 1023. The Donald and Winifred Wilson Center for Innovation and Leadership is sponsoring the speaker series and associated course.
Tim Renken is president of Renken Consulting Inc. Prior to Renken Consulting, he was a partner in Coulter/Renken LP. He was also Senior Vice President, Research Sciences for Ipsos-Reid and Director, Statistical Services at Conway|Milliken. He spent two years as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Marketing at Washington University in St. Louis.
Tim has experience with many methodologies in marketing research statistics, including discrete choice design, analysis and simulators, segmentation, forecasting, and multidimensional scaling and correspondence maps. His area of expertise is Bayesian statistics and particularly applying the Gibbs sampler in market research. Tim has done research in a wide range of industries, including packaged goods, media and entertainment, financial services, pharmaceuticals, travel and tourism, lotteries and gaming, automotive, agricultural equipment and chemicals, and telecommunications.
Tim has a Ph.D. in Economics from Washington University and a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Grinnell College.
