#GivingTuesday
It’s #GivingTuesday. On this global day of giving back, we celebrate the generosity that makes a difference at Grinnell.
Grinnellians have a long history of generosity. As the College’s legend has it, James J. Hill was the first to give to the College, back in 1846, when the College was still called the Iowa Band College. Hill’s gift was a single coin, a silver dollar, and since then, thousands of Grinnellians have built on Hill’s legacy through their own generous gifts to the College.
Gifts to the College help our students receive the rich academic experience that enables them to go out and make a difference in the world. Gifts to the College honor the generosity of support that enabled you to receive that same excellent education. In short, gifts to the College celebrate what it means to be a Grinnellian.
