A Living World

Aug 8, 2024

“A Living World,” now on display on Burling’s first floor, is a collection of works of fiction, poetry, film, cookbooks, history, and science centered on our relationships to, and uses of, the land. Each work, in its own way, communicates the value of the earth we share, and acknowledges the reciprocal nature of our relationships with it.

The display advocates for a means of living which embraces and celebrates this interdependency and argues for the value of sustainable, preindustrial land use practices.
