Nancy Combs Appointed to National Higher Ed Business Officers Board
Grinnell College’s Associate Vice President for Finance, Nancy Combs, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO). Her appointment was endorsed during the NACUBO Annual Meeting in July.
Combs will begin her three-year term on August 1, 2025, serving through July 31, 2028. NACUBO represents more than 1,700 colleges and universities across the country and provides leadership in higher education business and finance.
In addition to her upcoming role on the NACUBO board, Combs currently serves as Second Vice-President of the Central Association of College and University Business Officers (CACUBO), one of NACUBO’s four regional associations. She is slated to assume the CACUBO presidency in September 2026.
“It’s an incredible honor to be selected to serve on these important Boards,” said Combs. “I look forward to contributing to the national dialogue on higher education finance and helping shape strategies that support the success and sustainability of institutions across the country.”
Combs brings a strong commitment to collaborative leadership and strategic financial stewardship, grounded in her experience at Grinnell and in service to the broader higher education community.
