Pioneer men make history with MWC Tourney title, first-ever NCAA Tourney berth

The Grinnell College men's soccer team made history during the 2009 campaign by winning the Midwest Conference Tournament championship and qualifying for the NCAA Division III National Tournament for the first time in school history.

The Pioneers claimed the MWC Tourney crown in thrilling fashion with a pair of shootout wins, knocking off St. Norbert College in the semifinals and then Beloit College in the title clash.
