"Queer Tropicalia" - Fredo Rivera '06 presents at Wigwood 2017

Fredo Rivera '06, assistant professor of art history, recently presented a lecture on art, performance, and gender expression in the Americas at Wigwood, the inaugural drag festival of Miami, Florida. Dressed as his alias Lolita Cabrón, s/he presented theoretical perspectives from Latinx queer scholars and shared relevant examples of queer performance from the height of the AIDs crisis into the contemporary.
