A screening of The U-turn: A Transformational Journey, the third documentary in Luis Argueta’s immigration trilogy, will be followed by a question & answer session with the director.

The free, public event begins at 5 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2017, in Harris Center Cinema.

The U-Turn documents the transformational journey of the immigrant workers who broke their silence about the abuses they endured at Agriprocessors, a meat packing plant in Postville, Iowa, and the community that would not abandon them.

Popcorn and beverages will be served.

The event is sponsored by the Cultural Films Committee, the Department of Spanish, the Center for Humanities, the Center for Prairie Studies, the Institute for Global Engagement, the Department of Sociology, the Peace and Conflict Studies Concentration, and the Latin American Studies Concentration.
