On May 19, 2025, Grinnell College celebrated the achievements of the Class of 2025 in a commencement ceremony unlike any in nearly three decades. Due to forecasted storms and strong winds, the event was moved indoors to the Field House at the Bear Athletic Center—the first time since 1996. But the spirit of the day remained unchanged: one of joy, pride, and possibility. Over 400 graduates, representing 46 states and 20 countries, crossed the stage cheered on by faculty, staff, family, and friends. This photo essay captures the energy, emotion, and meaning of a day that marked both a culmination and a beginning.
