Langan’s first floor is home to a gender-specific and gender-neutral bathroom. Langan’s pit, second, and third floors all house 2 Gender-Neutral bathrooms.
Laundry
Residents of Langan have easy access to the laundry facilities in Younker Hall.
Computer Lab
Residents of Langan can use the computer lab and printing facilities located in Younker Hall.
Recycling
A recycling facility is located on the first floor of Langan Hall.
Air Conditioning and Heating
Langan Hall offers heating and air conditioning.
Elevators
Langan Hall does not have elevators.
History
Before Cowles dining hall opened at the end of World War II, the North Campus dining hall was in the basement of Langan Hall. The kitchens were adjoining, in the basement of Smith Hall.
Langan Hall was home to Gary Cooper ’26, who used his given name, Frank, while a student at Grinnell.
W.H. Langan, the Des Moines businessman for whom the building was named, never attended Grinnell but was generous to the College.
