Office Spaces
The lower level of Younker Hall is home to the Stonewall Resource Center, which serves the campus' LGBTQ student organizations. The office of the Resident Life Coordinator (RLC) who oversees the Northwest cluster is also located on the first floor of Younker Hall. It is accessible when entering through the main entrance.
Lounges
Younker Hall has four lounges. The main lounge is located on the first floor and has a television and piano, and there are smaller lounges on the other three floors.
Kitchens
Younker has four kitchens, one on each floor. Each kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a microwave, an oven, and a stove.
Storage
Younker uses the trunk room facilities located at Langan Hall.
Bathrooms
Younker’s First Floor is home to a Gender Specific and Gender-Neutral bathroom. Younker’s Pit, Second, and Third all house 2 Gender-Neutral bathrooms.
Laundry
Younker has a laundry facility located in its pit. There are several washers and dryers that can be operated free of charge.
Computer Lab
A computer lab with printing facilities is located in Younker Pit. It has two Macs and six Windows workstations.
Recycling
A recycling facility is located on the first floor of Younker.
Air Conditioning and Heating
Younker Hall offers heating and air conditioning.
Elevators
Younker Hall is equipped with ADA-compliant elevators.
Fire Pit
There is an outdoor fire pit located between Younker Hall and the Loggia.
History
Younker Hall is a North Campus residence hall built in 1951 and named for Benjamin A. Younker.
