Congratulations on your admission to Grinnell College. Our community welcomes you!

Our desire at LINK Mentoring (formerly Grinnell’s Big Brothers, Big Sisters) is to create a healthy, positive, and safe community for all children in Grinnell. For over 18 years, professionally supported mentors have been providing extra one-on-one attention to children in our schools, helping them discover their potential to grow into confident and caring young adults.

Grinnell College has provided much support to our program over the years. More than half of our mentors are Grinnell College students! Many students say that taking a break from campus life to spend time with their mentee has been a highlight of their time in our community. These local children form lifelong friendships with their mentors and have their worlds opened up by learning about unique cultures and experiences from their mentors.

We hope that you will consider connecting with the community through various volunteer opportunities, including becoming a mentor to an elementary student through LINK Mentoring.

Congratulations again, and welcome to Grinnell.
