Grinnell College reports the financial performance of the College endowment for Fiscal Year 2024-2025.

After Joe Rosenfield graduated from Grinnell in 1925, he dedicated much of the rest of his life to nurturing and preserving the College that meant so much to him.

The Grinnell College endowment generated a net positive return of 10.7% for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.  

Kelly Sandquist, Grinnell College director of investment operations, and her team won the Investment Operations of the Year award at the 2022 Allocator Prize event presented by With Intelligence. The Allocator Prizes honor the people, teams and partners uplifting institutional investing. The inaugural awards dinner was hosted in New York City on the evening of October 11. 

Lacey Farrell Johnson comes from Alumni Ventures, in Boston, Mass., where she served as a managing partner. She will begin her new role with the college on Monday, Sept. 12. Jainen Thayer, chief investment officer for Grinnell College, said “Lacey’s investment experience and depth of knowledge further expand the capacity of an already strong team at the Investment Office. She brings energy to her work and, most importantly, shares the same deep passion for the College’s mission that motivates all of us. I am thrilled to welcome her to Grinnell College.” 

Knowing that stress is the most common health issue affecting college students, the office of Student Health and Wellness (SHAW) at Grinnell College has partnered with Neolth, a company that helps students manage stress by empowering them to develop resiliency skills.

Schwab comes to Grinnell College from Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH), in Boston, Mass., where she served as Managing Director and Vice President of Finance.

In February 2016, Grinnell College, along with 50+ other colleges and universities with $1 billion or larger endowments, received a letter signed by three members of Congress.
