Dean for Health and Wellness at Grinnell College, Beth Perlman shares info on her life and experience at Grinnell.

The Division of Student Affairs recently held its annual awards ceremony with an event that Vice President of Student Affairs JC Lopez calls “uplifting.”

Grinnell has been honored to receive the 2024 Campus Prevention Network (CPN) Seal of Prevention™. Presented by Vector Solutions, the CPN Seal of Prevention™ recognizes institutions of higher education that demonstrate leadership in the areas of student safety, well-being, and inclusion.

Grinnell is one of 42 colleges and universities awarded the BFU designation this year, which also includes three institutions receiving Honorable Mentions.

With the help of Student Health and Wellness, a team of students created GHAMP, which aims to empower students to be informed, active participants in their healthcare and help navigate prominent barriers.

To supplement Grinnell’s existing mental health programming, Student Health and Wellness is offering Mental Health First Aid training and certification to students, faculty, and staff.

Join us in Burling Lounge on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 4:15 p.m. for “Providing a Central Source for Public Paddling in Iowa” with Tim Hammond. He will talk about the database of Iowa rivers that he has created with help from the Digital Liberal Arts Collaborative (DLAC).

Grinnell College’s Student Health and Wellness Center (SHAW) is now offering new testing and treatment services for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

The College will continue to monitor local conditions and maintain communication with the local health department. We are ready to support the medical needs of students on campus.
