David Harrison, professor and department chair of French and Arabic, has been elected executive director of the Society for Interdisciplinary French Seventeenth-Century Studies (SE17).

Recognizing with gratitude the good work of the members of the Committee for the Support of Faculty Scholarship, who reviewed a stellar roster of proposals, I am pleased to announce that Molly MacInnes (Chemistry), Laura Ng (Anthropology), and Meredith Paker (Economics) have won Harris Faculty Fellowships for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Erin Hurley, associate professor of physical education, spent 28 years as head coach of Grinnell’s swimming and diving teams before retiring from that role at the end of the 2022– 23 season. She graciously agreed to take some time from her busy schedule to answer a few questions about her life and career.
