Emily Perry
Assistant Director of International Student Programs
Emily works for Grinnell's Office of International Student Affairs (OISA). They serve as a Designated School Official (DSO), advise students, and support OISA programs, training, and community outreach. Among other responsibilities, Emily sits on the Academic Success Team, facilitates the Cultural Attaché Program, coordinates the Fischlowitz Travel Fellowship, and supports the creation of MOSAIC.
Before Grinnell, Emily worked as a Coordinator of Study Abroad and Off-Campus Programs at Westminster College (Fulton, Missouri) as well as an Education Abroad Advisor for business students at BGSU. They attended Hanover College (Hanover, Indiana), graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English, and Bowling Green State University (BGSU) where they received a Master of Arts in Cross-Cultural & International Education (MACIE).
In free time, Emily loves to knit, watch YouTube videos on dishes they'll never learn how to cook, collect poems by Mary Oliver and Lucille Clifton, and sing (unrequested and unwanted) songs to their cats, Elenore (Ellie) & Ewan.
The Office of International Student Affairs sits within the Division of Student Affairs, and is co-located with the Institute for Global Engagement on the first floor of the Humanities and Social Sciences Center.
