Kristen Nichols-Besel
Multilingual Writing Specialist
With a background in literacy education, Dr. Kristen Nichols-Besel has experience teaching middle and high school English/language arts, undergraduate and graduate academic writing, and methods courses in literacy and TESOL. Kristen first became a writing consultant in 2004. She enjoys working with writers from all disciplines at any point in the writing process. She particularly enjoys working with multilingual writers, exploring together the differing cultural expectations for academic writing. Kristen's current research interests focus on multilingual students' experiences in higher education in the Midwestern United States.
