Kathy Clemons-Beasley

Kathy Clemons-Beasley ’95 is the global head of leadership and manager development at BlackRock, where she develops custom approaches to solving client problems.

About her position, she says: “I use collaborative facilitation tools and quick thinking to challenge clients to think differently about their problems, explore creative solutions, and reconsider their assumptions. I am committed to achieving results, but focus on the process that facilitates them, versus having a stake in what the answers look like. I believe ‘practice’ is the most important part of the term ‘best practice’ — my job is to help translate the theories into principles, actions, and habits that can be used to create results, in both internal roles and for clients.

In her past, Clemons-Beasley drove strategic projects for the Morgan Stanley Institute for Sustainable Investing, including managing the institute’s external advisory board, stakeholder engagement, sustainability reporting, and strategic communications. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, she was a senior principal at Collective Next, where she designed and facilitated collaborative engagements for financial services clients in the areas of strategy, change management, and leadership development.
