Assistant Dean and Director of Employer Engagement
Kelly leads a team responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand internships, full-time post-graduate positions, and related opportunities for Grinnell students. As Assistant Dean and Director of Employer Engagement, Kelly and her team oversee the Handshake online career management system; coordinate on-campus and virtual recruiting events; and sustain and expand recruiting partnerships with an array of organizations. She also regularly consults with employers on recruiting strategies to ensure we develop successful partnerships.
Prior to Grinnell, Kelly held positions at Bradley University, Florida State University, and Eureka College where she created and managed programs that created linkages between students, alumni, and employers. Kelly has also held numerous executive leadership roles and memberships in both regional and national organizations and consortiums. Kelly has conducted national webinars, presented at regional and national conferences, and published articles pertaining to employer engagement. Kelly’s commitment to her community was celebrated by the Peoria Chamber of Commerce when she was recognized as one of the “25 Women in Leadership”.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband, Murphy, her shelter/rescue dog, and family. Kelly reads avidly (in fact, she launched the America Reads program still in place at Bradley today), loves to travel and takes every opportunity to cheer on her beloved St. Louis Cardinals.
