Prior to joining Grinnell College, Jennifer worked for six years as a writing consultant at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, where she also earned her Ph.D. in English. With interests in American and global modernisms, literary criticism and critical theory, Jennifer continues to develop her doctoral research on the relationship between modernist aesthetics and fascist politics. Jennifer’s enthusiasm for her research is matched by her passion for writing and learning about writing. She has taught various writing courses and currently serves as a reviewer for the writing center journal The Peer Review. Though she enjoys working on writing at all stages, she most enjoys helping writers develop and fine-tune ideas. She also welcomes any opportunity to discuss scholarly applications. Jennifer is especially excited to work with multilingual writers, as she is familiar with many of their challenges and potentials.
